Job Summary
The Bingo Caller is positioned on stage and calls the Bingo numbers, keeps games running smoothly and efficiently and controls crowds and performs various other duties as required by management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. The Bingo Caller is located on stage, calling numbers.
  2. The Bingo Caller controls the microphone, reads rules, when necessary, announces Bingo and Casino promotions and announces all prizes won.
  3. This position should be separate from the Bingo Floor Clerk position so as to avoid confusion in the exchange.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Callers should be people who are always professional in both manner and appearance.
  2. Callers should have some type of crowd control experience and be able to work well under pressure.
  3. Good hand to eye coordination is required.
  4. A good speaking voice and excellent grammar skills.
  5. Must have a friendly demeanor and show a smile.
  6. Must have a thorough knowledge of Bingo.
  7. Must be computer literate.
  8. Must have a proven record of dependability and a desire to work as a team member.
  9. Must meet the requirements to qualify for a Gaming License by passing an extensive background security check.
  10. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
  11. Must be willing to work weekends, nights and holidays.
  12. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and objectives of the Sugar Creek Casino and the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.

 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 This position has no supervisory responsibility.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  1. A High school diploma or GED is required.
  2. A minimum of 2 years calling experience in a bingo hall, preferably in a Tribal Gaming environment or related experience.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government laws and regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, media, and the general public.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability.  Must be competent in computer skills.  Must have superior interpersonal relations skills.  Must have superior planning and organizational skills, ability to manage complex projects and investigations.
