Job Summary

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  1. The Bingo Supervisor reports to the General Manager/Assistant General Manager and is responsible for ensuring that the Bingo Department is following facility policies, and game standards are being met.
  2. The Bingo Supervisor is responsible for budgeting and working within budget guidelines, as well as bingo internal advertising duties and creating promotions designed to attract the largest number of customers possible.
  3. The Bingo Supervisor must be able to correctly order all supplies and paper, keeping as low an inventory on hand as possible.
  4. A Bingo Supervisor should have a thorough knowledge of the paper room and all electronics systems.
  5. A Bingo Supervisor should be a people person; one able to interact with customers, listen to suggestions and complaints, and must show a great deal of creativity in so far as wanting to please people, without offering more than the budgeted programs allow.
  6. The Bingo Supervisor must be able to write profitable programs, and install policies with teamwork being of utmost importance, thereby creating a positive and safe work environment for employees and customers as well.
  7. Must be able to complete other duties as assigned.
  8. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, the mission and objectives of the Sugar Creek Casino and the Wichita and Affiliated Tribes, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Carries out supervisory responsibilities for the Bingo employees in accordance with the Sugar Creek Casino policies and applicable laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 The Bingo Supervisor must have a proven record of dependability, a desire to work as a team member, and be able to work under pressure.  Must have excellent math and communication skills and be computer literate.  Should have experience with electronic bingo games and a working knowledge of internal controls, as well as familiarity with NIGC MICS.  Must meet requirement to qualify for a Gaming License by passing an extensive background security check.  Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, must be willing to work in excess of 40 hours per week, and able to work weekends and nights.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

The Bingo Supervisor must have a high school diploma or GED.  Some college would be good but is not required.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

 Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental laws and regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedural manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, media, and the general public.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

 Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

 REASONING ABILITY:

 Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram forms and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Basic analytical and deductive reasoning ability.  Must be competent in computer skills.  Must have superior interpersonal skills.  Must have superior planning and organizational skills, ability to manage complex projects and investigations.
