Country Fried Octoberfest: Tracy Byrd w/ Casey Chesnutt
October 19 @ 7:00 pm
| Doors @ 5:00pm
$20 – $80Tracy Byrd became a household name on the Country Music Scene in 1993 when his third single, called “Holdin’ Heaven”, off of his MCA Records, self-titled debut album, hit #1 on the Billboard Country Charts. The Album also included the remake hit of Johnny Paycheck’s “Someone to Give my Love to” cementing Byrd as a Traditional Country Troubadour!! The Debut Album went on to be certified Gold, a award signifying sales in excess of 500,000 copies.
Through all of these years Byrd became a promoter favorite on the road, performing over 4000 exciting shows across the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Australia from 1992 until 2009! He then say’s he needed a break to take care of himself and his most precious thing, his family, wife Michelle, daugter Evee, and son’s Logan and Jared, who had taken a backseat to his career for year’s. He did not perform from 2010-2013, but in 2014 he got back to the music with a new band and a new found sobriety and love of the thing he enjoys so much. Say’s Byrd, “These day’s my life has great balance, with my music being a part of it, not all of it. I can honestly say I have never enjoyed it more!!
Casey Chesnutt; I’ve been doing music for over 10 years. In high-school, I was playing gigs at night and running to class the following morning. I saw local success, but put it on hold after enlisting in the Marines. I served 5 years as an Infantry Rifleman and went on my final deployment with Alpha Company, 1st battalion, 2nd Marines. From there, I hit the same bars doing the same thing. Eventually, my daughter Annie was born. I needed to start getting aggressive or change careers. I needed to release my own music, but I was shy with writing. I released the “Down Mexico Way” Album with my first hit single, “Even Texas Couldn’t Hold Her”, which hit number 9 on the Texas Charts. Afterwards, I was more confident, and started writing music more in line with my true self. Eventually, I found my way up on the legendary Billy Bob’s stage with dad in the beginning of 2023. I secured a residency at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa the following month. After all that, I put together a personal album that I love. It’s unique to what I consider to be my sound. The “Tryin’ Out” Album. I love what I do and truly believe it will turn into something really cool one day. Thanks for reading and please take a listen!
